BSH will place photovoltaic installations in all locations in Poland by 2023.
BSH Hardware Gospodarstwa Domowego has entered into an agreement with Figene Capital to build a pilot photovoltaic installation on the roof of its headquarters in Warsaw, and by 2023 BSH will place larger photovoltaic installations in all of its other locations in Poland, the company said.
Photovoltaic panels with a capacity of up to 50 kWp will cover the roof of the Warsaw office of BSH in September this year.
Ultimately, the panels will be located on the roofs of factories and logistics centers, as well as in parking lots and green areas in areas owned by BSH in Łódź, Wrocław and Rzeszów. The expected total production of green energy in BSH will amount to 10,000 to 15,000 MWh per year.
"Already 100% of the energy used by BSH comes from renewable energy sources. Since last year, the entire BSH Group has been carbon-neutral. This means that every household appliance produced by BSH is manufactured in 38 factories worldwide. without leaving a carbon footprint. The company also implements the principles of a circular economy, and processes most of its waste in its factories," the company announced..
BSH Equipment Gospodarstwa Domowego is part of the international BSH Home Appliances Group. The company offers a portfolio of household appliances from Bosch, Siemens and Gaggenau on the Polish market. BSH has six factories in Poland. Washing machines, dishwashers and clothes dryers are produced in three plants in Łódź, ovens and refrigerators in two in Wrocław, and small household appliances in Rogoźnica near Rzeszów.
