Polish registered unemployment rate fell to 5.8% in July
The unemployment rate registered in July 2021 decreased by 0.1 percentage point m/m to 5.8%, according to the estimates of the Ministry of Development, Labor and Technology (MRPiT).
"July was the fifth month in a row when the level of registered unemployment in Poland was decreasing. The latest data on unemployment show that we are slowly returning to a stable economic path. The good situation on the labor market in Poland is primarily the result of protective measures taken by the government," she said Deputy Minister of Development, Labor and Technology Iwona Michałek..
Preliminary data show that the number of unemployed people registered in labor offices in July this year was 975,900 people and compared to the end of June this year. decreased by 17,500 people, i.e. by 1.8%.
The lowest registered unemployment rate was recorded in the Wielkopolskie voivodship (3.5%), and the highest in Warmińsko-Mazurskie (8.9%). In no voivodship the unemployment rate exceeded 9%.
In July this year. according to preliminary data, employers reported to labor offices 120.5 thousand. vacancies and occupational activation places, ie by 2,800 (2.3%) more than in June this year and by 14,600 (13.8%) more than in July 2020, the ministry also reported.
According to GUS data, the registered unemployment rate at the end of June 2021 was 5.9%, i.e. it fell by 0.2 percentage point. towards May this year.
In January this year. the president signed the budget act for 2021 assuming that the registered unemployment rate at the end of 2021 will be 7.5%.
