Wienerberger donates products worth CZK 15 million to municipalities after tornado

Wienerberger - a manufacturer of Tondach ceramic roofing and Porotherm masonry systems, is ready to deliver products worth CZK 15 million free of charge to municipalities affected by a tornado in southern Moravia. It will also provide discounts on roof repairs, construction of new houses and ensure priority deliveries of the Tondach system from the Hranice plant. "Wienerberger is aware of the seriousness of the situation caused by the tornado. In order to restore the affected areas after the tragic natural disaster, we are immediately ready to help. Wienerberger will provide 15 million Czech crowns in material support from the production of our products," the company said. On the destroyed roofs, it will provide people with Tondach roofing with an extraordinary price reduction of 80 percent from this year's price list. For the construction of new houses after demolition, the company will give a discount on the roof system and a 60% discount from this year's prices for Porotherm bricks. It is necessary to send an e-mail with a request for support to the address tornado@wienerberger.com, including a photo of the destroyed roof or house, demolition area, confirmation from the municipal authority in case of repair without demolition, state the address and an estimate of the required amount of material. Help can also be obtained via the web. Last year, the demand for material for family houses increased for Wienerberger, the largest producer of fired bricks in the Czech Republic. Last year, revenues similar to 2019 are expected, when they exceeded CZK 3.6 billion. It has around 900 employees. The company is a member of the Wienerberger Group - the world's largest listed brick manufacturer. In the Czech Republic, it has seven brickyards and two plants for the production of roofing.
