Albania launches first tender for 100 MW wind power plants
Albania launched its first public call for the construction of utility-scale on-shore wind power plants with a total capacity of 100 MW, according to the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
The government invites developers of individual projects with a capacity of between 10 MW and 75 MW to apply with proposals for sites in the first phase of the tender by the middle of June next year.
The total tendered capacity may be increased to 150 MW in the coming months, in line with the country’s renewable energy targets. The government is expected to announce the successful bidders in the first half of 2023.
