CEZ plans to invest CZK 30 to 40 billion in the modernization of heating plants by 2030
By 2030, the energy company CEZ plans to invest CZK 30 to 40 billion in the modernization and transformation of its heating plants into new fuels. The largest part will go to the Mělník locality. The company stated this today when asked by ČTK. At Tuesday's conference of the Institute for Public Discussion on the Future of the Czech Heating Industry, Deputy Chairman of the ČEZ Board of Directors Pavel Cyrani stated that total investment expenditures in Mělník could reach 20 to 30 billion crowns from this year to 2030.
"The Mělník site supplies heat to Prague, is the largest and therefore represents the largest part of the investment. We expect to invest up to ten billion crowns in total in the transformation of other ČEZ heating plants into more environmentally friendly sources," CEZ spokesman Roman Gazdík told ČTK today. The semi-state energy company has other heating plants in Trmice, Dětmarovice, Hodonín, Poříčí, Dvůr Králové or Jindřichův Hradec.
