Companies that have suspended their activity increases by over 25%
The number of companies that have suspended their activity was, in the first five months of 2021, 5,249, increasing by 25.28 percent compared to the same period last year, according to data published by the National Office of the Trade Register.
Most companies that suspended their activity between January and May 2021 were from Bucharest, followed by Cluj, Bihor and Prahova. At the opposite pole, the least suspensions were recorded in Ialomiţa, Alba and Tulcea counties.
In May 2021, 1,003 company suspensions were registered, most of them in Bucharest, Cluj, Bihor and Prahova.
