Court ruling brings O2 Arena new owners
Petr Kellner (PPF) and Karel Komárek (KKCG) are reported to have won control over the O2 Arena in Prague. PPF and KKCG are among the creditors of Bestsport, which was the owner and operator of the arena. Under a new court ruling, Bestsport and the arena will be transferred into a newly established vehicle called Bestsport Arena. The basic capital of the company will be increased while the secured lender, The Bank of New York Mellon, will get shares in it, as will non-secured lenders, an amounts proportional to the size of their claims. This step is part of an overall restructuring program which should be realized over the next several months.
