Kross will intensify production and wants to be a leader in the region in 2022.
Kross will intensify production to 16 hours a day, thus increasing the availability of bicycles for customers, the company said. In the 2022 season, the company wants to become number 1 in Central and Eastern Europe in terms of the number of bikes sold, which is expected to amount to approximately half million.
"Our production lines have never been used by so many bicycles under the Kross brand. From the next few months, production in Kross will take place for 16 hours a day, which will result in half a million bicycles available to our customers," said Michał Szlachetka, Vice President of Operations.
Kross reminds that the largest bicycle boom in history is taking place in Poland. Cycling in the pandemic era has turned out to be one of the best ways to safely commute to work and school on a daily basis, and is increasingly replacing other sports activities.
"Many experts say that the boom for bikes is a permanent trend, and some of them believe that the coming years will bring a significant increase in demand for bikes. At Kross, we believe that an avid cyclist lies dormant in all of us and therefore we want everyone to be able to find a bike Kross suitable for you, affordable. We create bikes for amateurs of city trips and for professionals. We observe trends and therefore improve models in the most popular series, and significantly expand the offer of electric models," added President Zbigniew Sosnowski.
The company wants to take advantage of the market opportunity and strengthen its position both in Poland and Europe. In the 2022 season, Kross assumes that it will become number 1 in Central and Eastern Europe in terms of the number of bikes sold. The long-term goal is to rank among the top 10 bicycle companies in the world, it also said.
Kross is the leader of the bicycle market in Poland. The company was founded in 1990, and its portfolio includes electric, recreational and performance bikes intended for mountain biking, as well as the Le Grand brand, which brings together city bikes.
