The Polish government is considering the possibility of verifying vaccinations by employers

The government is analyzing the possibility for employers to verify whether employees are vaccinated against COVID-19, confirmed the government's plenipotentiary for vaccination, Michał Dworczyk. He emphasized that this is one of a number of analyzed solutions. "Such demands were made by employers primarily in consultations on the fight against COVID, in consultations on the construction of the National Vaccination Program and, of course, various analyzes are carried out," Dworczyk said on radio Jedynka. He noted that "the possibilities of strengthening various types of incentives or creating opportunities to improve [...] the dynamics of registration for vaccinations" are being analyzed. Referring to the question whether the next Sejm session in August will actually introduce a bill enabling employers to verify whether employees are vaccinated and possibly transfer them to other positions, Dworczyk said: "This is absolutely no declaration, I mentioned analyzing various solutions, one of these solutions is this." "Wprost" announced yesterday that at the next session of the Seym, a parliamentary bill is to be discussed, regulating the possibility for employers to verify whether employees working for them are vaccinated against COVID-19. According to the portal, the project assumes that in the absence of evidence of vaccination, employers could transfer the employee to another position. So far, over 33.9 million vaccinations have been performed in Poland, and more than 17.1 million people are fully vaccinated. Source: ISBnews
