Investment platform finGOOD received CZK 41.5 million for its further development
The investment platform finGOOD.cz has risen among the crowdfunding investment leaders in the last year. It has successfully exceeded the milestone of 3,000 registered investors. It has now raised CZK 41.5 million for its further development and is preparing to expand into foreign markets.
The year 2021 was a turning point for finGOOD in many ways. In the first half of the year, he managed to finance projects worth more than 100 million. Another great news was the fact that the number of investors exceeded 3,000. FinGOOD thus confirmed both the interest of investors in crowdinvesting and entrepreneurs in crowdfunding. Now the whole platform can focus on further development.
Alcor Investment sends CZK 41.5 million to finGOOD for its development. This investment company is headed by Tomáš Pešek, who has extensive experience as a lawyer and crisis manager, who, among other things, took care of Czech Export Bank's projects and Generali PPF Group's investments in Russia for several years.
"This year, finGOOD aims to finance projects worth about CZK 400 million, which is several times more than in its entire existence. This year, FinGOOD has become a clear leader in the number and volume of brokered investments in the Czech crowdfunding market and investors are beginning to perceive finGOOD as a credible investment platform on which they can invest their free funds with a very interesting interest income and quality collateral. ”Tomáš Pešek evaluates the main reasons why his company decided to support the further growth of this investment platform.
At finGOOD, they want to use the acquired capital for further technological development, the staff will definitely be strengthened and part of the money obtained will be invested by finGOOD in marketing and brand strengthening.
Technological development
It is technological development that cuts the largest share of the acquired capital. Above all, this will enable faster technological growth. In finGOOD, a new era begins, which will be in the spirit of full automation, and above all investor mobile applications.
"We approach technology very creatively. We are constantly looking for interesting opportunities and we are open to new ideas. Above all, this investment will allow us to scale our systems and accelerate our growth. We will move from the original web portal to the next level, where we will be able to write our own services and develop our own back-end, front-end, infrastructure and, last but not least, mobile applications,” Comments Michal Weiser, CTO finGOOD on the use of new capital.
A few weeks ago, finGOOD launched Finkučka, a financial calculator that will be used by anyone who needs to easily calculate all types of investments or loans and now wants to follow up with further development.
Weiser and his team, which is constantly growing, are already working on the development of applications tailored to investors. This will give users access to their dashboard and give them a clear overview of their investments and returns. The biggest plus is the fact that investors will be able to invest and value their money directly in the application. The next step is the Investor Wallets, which will be connected to the application in the spring of 2022.
Expansion into foreign markets and plan for the coming years
Thanks to its license from the CNB, FinGOOD has been fully focused on the domestic market for the last year and a half. However, he now plans to enter European markets, so he is already working to expand his license. This will allow him to provide his services throughout the European Union.
This will open up new markets for this investment platform. Future plans are described by Vít Endler, CEO and co-owner as follows - “As the first expansion goal, we identified Slovakia, where it should be relatively simple due to a similar legal environment. Furthermore, the Visegrad Four would make sense to us. Then we would like to look at the digitally developed economies, ie the Nordic countries and the Baltics. Thanks to the new license, which will allow us to develop our business throughout the European Union, this list of potential markets is certainly not exhaustive. "
However, he has different plans for this year. It aims to mediate the financing of projects worth approximately 400 million crowns. For 2023, finGOOD is already setting a much more ambitious goal of exceeding CZK 1 billion funds and becoming a relevant choice for business financing and an investment tool for investors. The inflow of new capital will make it easier to achieve this goal.
The small startup thus becomes a renowned investment platform, which is increasingly sought after by investors, and thanks to which they can increase their financial resources with an interesting interest rate and invest in solidly secured projects.
