Ústí nad Labem wants to buy apartments from private individuals
Ústí nad Labem wants to buy apartments from private owners and thus increase its housing stock. It plans to offer the purchased apartments to students or seniors. According to Deputy Mayor Jan Vlach (YES), he wants to use subsidies from the Integrated Regional Operational Program (IROP) or from the national title of the Ministry of Regional Development Construction to purchase them.
"We would like to have our own housing stock, because the flats are owned by about 600 districts and the statutory city has only about 20 flats due to the savage privatization of former governments," the deputy said.
For example, the city repeatedly approached the company CPI byty, many citizens complain about the care of the housing stock and the composition of tenants in connection with this company, but the city has not yet received a response from developers. In the past, the city bought the devastated panel house in Krásný Březno from the company, which in the past served as a hostel. The municipality plans to build 32 flats in the building.
The city wants to provide the purchased flats primarily to seniors, the disabled or children from the orphanage and students as starting flats. "In the case of support from subsidy calls, rental prices are determined by the price level, for example in the case of Construction it is 61 crowns per square meter. Regional Health," added the deputy.
The city has expanded its housing stock by several apartments this year. In Ústí nad Labem's Matiční Street, which in the past was famous for the fence separating municipal houses for non-payers from the natives, the city had two crisis flats built for families with children in difficult situations. The repair of the house together with the construction of three flats, one of which is used by the administrator of the building, cost the city four million crowns, of which one million crowns were provided by the Ústí nad Labem Region.
